12 Jan 11: Waters are approaching 69 deg; cobia temp. Last week we came across a large group of gigantic manta rays; most with cobia underneath. We had an awesome time catching these powerful and tasty fish!!! Amberjack are on the deep wrecks; lots weighing over 50lbs. King Mackerel bite is awesome, usually two or three fish on at a time. Mangrove snapper, sea bass and triggers good as usual; especially around the full moon. Great fishing!!! Paul and I look forward to taking you and your family on a fishing adventure of a life time!! So come on, yours awaits…Capt Art
6 Feb11: Fishing been great, especially bottom fishing. Amberjack been on the deep wrecks as usual and sometimes we find them on shallower inshore wrecks. Catching lots of sea bass and trigger fish (excellent eating) lots of action. Last week and Friday caught Cobia on manta rays and the bite is only getting better. King Mackerel are to the south and soon will be chewing the bottoms out of our boats. Mango Snapper are in areas with lots of structure on the bottom. We’ve had lots of nice warm, sunny days on the water; Friday close to 80deg. Great times!!!
3 May 11: Sorry again it’s been so long since my last report but I’m fishing so much there’s hardly any time to add reports. Fishing been awesome as usual!! We’ve had great cobia fishing since March and caught many over 50 lbs. Our waters are warming and Mahi Mahi are starting to show up. We caught a 35 pounder the other day. Gave us a great fight and took 35 minutes to finally land Mr. Dorado. Grouper opened 1 May and great time for catching the behemoths (one of my favorite types of fishing). Mangrove snapper will be starting to spawn soon and we’ll be targeting them around the full moon. Sailfish also migrating through our waters. We hooked a nice one the other day close behind the boat which immediately flew out of the water and provided a spectacular tail-walking display. Amberjack and King Mackerel bite good as usual. ALL IN ALL, GREAT FISHING DAYS AND LOADS OF FISH TO CLEAN BACK AT THE MARINA…EVERYDAY!!!
19 June 11: Mangrove Snapper spawning, chumming them up to boat; great catches!!! Bottom bite is on; good catches of grouper, mangrove snapper, sea bass, vermillion snapper, etc.. Mahi and Sailfish still good especially with live sargassum weed lines. Amberjack on most deep wrecks and major structure. Excellent fishing!!
25 July 11 FEEDBACK: We just wanted to send you an email to thank you for a wonderful day fishing last Saturday (7/23). We all had a wonderful time and are so happy with the fish we caught. Also, thank you for the suggestion of taking a sampling of our catch to Grills. The fish was delicious and it had the best atmosphere to end our weekend. Also want to send props to your first mate Paul, he was absolutely amazing! So quick and on the ball with everything, friendly and helpful in every aspect, especially reeling our fish in. We will definitely be back over in the spring to catch some Mahi.. Thanks again we will recommend you to anybody we know!
28 Sep 11 Fishing been great!! Hooked up three sailfish the other day and boated one. They were feeding on small bait fish on the edge of the Gulf Stream near a pretty impressive weed line. The weed line had lots of bait, flying fish and birds working it. Lots of Amberjack on the deep wrecks. Closer inshore we had good catches of sea bass and red/vermillion snapper and of coarse barricuda and sharks. Also caught some nice scamp grouper. Having awesome days out the blue waters.
