With a few nice days of fishable weather, The Nancy Jane 2 headed straight out to blue water to waste very little time incase the winds did pick up. Sure enough, as soon as we arrived monster triggers began flying over the rails. Then came the vermillon snapper and porgies. Not to mention that every other drop there was a red snapper on. Several of the crew dropped whole squid back on a long leader in hopes of a mutton snapper. The plan worked as 2 muttons took a nap in the ice chest. We were then surprised by a very nice female Mahi Mahi, otherwise known as a cow, that swam up to the transom and inhaled a cobia jig. Hooked a couple of monster 10ft+ hammerheads also but couldn’t get one to stay hooked. Overall awesome day on the water.
