“Every drop we got a hit, everydrop.”, said first mate Caleb. With warmer waters and calmer conditions compared to our mailstorm of a winter we had, the crew of the Nancy Jane hit the reefs and wrecks to feel some tight lines again. With a livewell full of healthy looking croakers, mullet and pinfish, to go along with the bountiful amounts of frozen squid and northern mackeral, the day looked good from the start. As soon as we arrived at the very first spot, it was game on for the rest of the day. Non stop action all day. Nice reds, nice grouper, triggerfish, vermillion and lane snapper, cobia and plenty other came over the rails all day. After our arms were shot from fishing so much, we headed in with a healthy dosage of vitamin D on our skin and lots of smiles on our faces. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.
